Personal hosting for your own website
You do not need to set up your own server to start a blog or portfolio. Publish by uploading your website files to a personal hosting account and pointing your domain to it. Plesk brings file and database management together. Consider the starter plan for one website, or plans with higher website allowances if you will publish several. Each plan's storage, traffic, and email capacity is listed in the table.
How much disk space do you need?
Lots of photos, videos, or downloadable documents can fill your storage more quickly. Databases and email may also count toward usage. Resizing photos before uploading them saves storage and helps pages load faster. If you are moving an existing website, find out its total usage and leave room for new content.
If you plan to use WordPress
Check your WordPress site's PHP and database requirements before choosing a plan. Using a current theme and removing unnecessary plugins makes maintenance easier. Back up files and the database together before major changes. Contact us with questions about SSL setup or application compatibility. Our VDS plans may be more suitable for applications that require custom system services.
Domains and hosting are separate services
Hosting is where your website files are stored; the domain is the address visitors enter. A plan's website allowance shows how many sites you can host in the same account, not free domain registration. You can use an existing domain and point its DNS records to the new hosting account. Preserve mail records during the change if your email service is hosted elsewhere.
